A Maine native, Alison grew up in Saco and Farmington, Maine and is a graduate of Mt. Blue High School. She received her A.B. degree from Colgate University with a concentration in Russian Language and Literature and a minor in Economics. Alison received her J.D. from the University of Maine School of Law in Portland, Maine in 2005 and was admitted to the Maine Bar the same year. Alison has practiced in Hancock County since 2005 with a focus on real estate law and is a member of the Maine and Hancock County Bar Associations, as well as the John Waldo Ballou American Inns of Court. Also, she is a member of the Title Standards Committee of the real estate section for the Maine State Bar Association. In 2009 Alison became a certified mediator for the Maine Judicial Branch’s Foreclosure Diversion Program.
Alison has represented clients in numerous cases before municipal boards for zoning and permitting issues. Alison has represented clients and lenders in residential and commercial projects. She has substantial experience in representing clients in foreclosure situations and debt restructuring. Also, Alison represents and advises a large number of small businesses.
Alison is a current member of the Ellsworth Evening Rotary Club and the Ellsworth Chamber of Commerce and serves on the Boards of Directors of the Downeast Family YMCA and the Bar Harbor Yacht Club.
