Hale & Hamlin, Maine's oldest law firm, has been serving the Downeast Maine community and beyond since 1883. Our firm is located in the Peters Block building in downtown Ellsworth, alongside the Union River and probably not far from where Eugene Hale read law under Thomas Robinson around 1857. Despite the antiquity of its heritage, Hale & Hamlin is as modern as any law firm in the State of Maine.
